THE BIBLE
TELLS US:
First, the Bad
News:
1.
CONFESS to God that, in your present condition, you are a sinner and separated
from Him forever.
"For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." -
Romans 3:23
"As it is written: `There is no one righteous, not even one; there
is no one who seeks God. All have turned away, they have together become
worthless; there is no one who does good, not even one.'" - Romans
3:10-12
"Your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have
hidden His face from you, so that He will not hear." - Isaiah
59:2
2. REALIZE that, because
you are a sinner, you are spiritually dead [eternally separated from God,
the Source of Life].
"As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins…"
- Ephesians 2:1
"For the wages of sin is death…" - Romans 6:23a
"For every living soul belongs to Me… The soul who sins is
the one who will die." - Ezekiel 18:4a,c
3. ADMIT that you
can do absolutely nothing to save yourself.
"For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith-- and this
is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God-- not by works so that no
one can boast." - Ephesians 2:8,9
"…not because of righteous things we had done, but because
of His mercy He saved us…" - Titus 3:5b

Second, the Good
News:
1. UNDERSTAND
that God loves you in spite of your sinfulness.
"But God demonstrates His own love for us in this: while we were
still sinners, Christ [God's Son] died for us." - Romans
5:8
"For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that
whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life."
- John 3:16
2. UNDERSTAND that
the sinless Son of God, Jesus Christ, died in your place as your substitute
and paid the penalty for your sin.
"God made Him Who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in Him we
might become the righteousness of God." - 2 Corinthians 5:21
"This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down His life
for us." - 1 John 3:16a

Third, the Necessary
News:
1. ACCEPT
the fact that you are making a decision about Jesus Christ as you read
this.
"…I tell you, now is the time of God's favor, now is the day
of salvation." - 2 Corinthians 6:2b
"How shall we escape if we ignore such a great salvation." -
Hebrews 2:3
2. REPENT of your sins and ASK God to forgive
them.
"…now [God] commands all people everywhere to repent."
- Acts 17:30
"Blessed are they whose transgressions are forgiven, whose sins are
covered. Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against
him." - Romans 4:7,8
3.BELIEVE IN / RECEIVE
the Lord Jesus Christ as your Savior from the penalty of your sin.
"Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects
the Son will not see life, for God's wrath remains on him." - John
3:36
"…to all who received Him, to those who believed in His Name,
He gave the right to become children of God." - John 1:12
If you are ready to receive Jesus Christ as your Savior right
now, as sincerely as you know how, pray this prayer to God:
"Dear God, I know I am a sinner. I
believe Jesus was my substitute when he died on the cross. I believe He
shed His blood, died, was buried, and rose again for me. I now receive
Him as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift
of salvation and everlasting life, because of Your merciful grace. Amen."
